The pirate background should have athletics and perception as proficiencies, instead it has athletics, and the ability to choose any proficiency except athletics and perception. could this be fixed? thanks in advance.

Could you check please, because I do not have the issue.

I guess that your problem is that one of theses 2 background skills is already given by your race for example.
As the rules say, you can choose another skill in this case.

that was the problem, i wanted to make a sea elf who'se a pirate and then got confused
